Iván, de 32 años, falleció el 5 de mayo de 2026 en Salt Lake City.

Nació el 26 de octubre de 1993 en Cerano, Guanajuato, México, hijo de Francisco Beltrán y María Del Carmen Pérez . A los 4 años, él y sus padres hicieron el sacrificio de venir a los Estados Unidos. Se unieron a su familia y se mudaron a Orange Cove, California. Creció siendo un niño amable y respetuoso. Aunque en casa se le describía como alguien reservado, en la escuela y en el mundo exterior era una persona vivaz, extrovertida, con muchos amigos y reconocido por todos sus maestros. A los 17 años, él y su familia se mudaron a Salt Lake City, Utah, con la esperanza de sus padres de que esto le trajera un futuro mejor y con más oportunidades. Fue un gran cambio pasar del pequeño pueblo que conoció durante toda su infancia a una gran ciudad llena de vida. Adaptarse al cambio fue difícil, pero continuó con sus estudios y se graduó de la preparatoria Copper Hills High School en West Jordan en 2011. Desafortunadamente, a los 22 años fue víctima de las drogas y se distanció de su familia. Tuvo una batalla continua con la adicción durante los siguientes 10 años de su vida. A lo largo de todos esos años, incluso bajo el efecto y la niebla de las sustancias, siempre fue lo más respetuoso posible con sus padres y lo más amoroso posible con sus hermanos. Su familia siempre lo apoyó y mantuvo los brazos abiertos para brindarle ayuda cuando él admitía que la necesitaba. Con el corazón roto, su batalla se ha perdido. Ante el dolor de su partida, nos alivia saber que ya no tiene que sufrir con el dolor contra el que luchó durante tantos años.

Ivan, 32, passed away on May 5, 2026, in Salt Lake City.

He was born on October 26, 1993, in Cerano, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Francisco Beltran and Maria Del Carmen Perez. At the age of four, he and his parents made the sacrifice to come to the United States. They joined extended family and moved to Orange Cove, California. He grew up to be a kind, respectful child. Although he was described as quiet at home, at school and out in the world he was a lively, extroverted individual who made many friends and was beloved by all his teachers. By age 17, he and his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in hopes of finding a better future with more opportunities. It was a massive transition from the tiny town of his childhood to a big, bustling city. Adjusting to the change was difficult, but he persevered and graduated from Copper Hills High School in West Jordan in 2011. Unfortunately, by the age of 22, he fell victim to substance abuse and became distanced from his family. He fought a continuous battle with addiction for the next ten years of his life. Yet, throughout all those years—even through the heavy fog of his struggles—he always remained as respectful as possible to his parents and as loving as possible to his siblings. His family never stopped supporting him, keeping their arms wide open to provide aid whenever he reached out. Heartbreakingly, his battle was lost. While we carry deep pain from his departure, we find relief in knowing he no longer has to suffer the hardships he struggled with for so many years.

Survived by: His parents and siblings, Isaac Beltran Perez and Paola Beltran.

Preceded in death by: Rafael Beltran y Estella Orozco (Paternal grandparents), Rafael Perez (Maternal grandparent) Edgar Chavez Beltran y Juventino Chavez Beltran (cousins), Rejinaldo Chavez (uncle), Fernando Perez Arellano (uncle)

Mass: Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (7405 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84084).
