Russ, 67, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, at his home in Magna, Utah. 

He was born on September 26, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ann and Frank Fleming. Russ married Gay on February 22, 1980 in Elko, Nevada. 

Russ was a man with many talents, he enjoyed working on old cars, mud racing, and most of all enjoyed being with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He enjoyed going camping and spending time in his man cave (back garage.) He would invite all of his family and friends over and smoke different meats on his smoker, and make all of us taste it! He was a very good cook.

Russ is survived by his loving wife, Gay Fleming; two kids, Kami Vigil and Jess Fleming; son-in-law, Tony Vigil, grandkids, Kelsy Fleming, Madi Fleming, Mason Fleming, Kyson Fleming, Kaden Vigil, and Ana Vigil; brother, Terry Fleming; sisters, Marie Dowd and Debbie Betzold; his other brother, Bobby Howard Hewitt; and many other family members.
